Social democracy meets social networking

Is "do nothing" Key backing away from the Seabed and foreshore discussion. It seemed to me that his statements regarding this issue were very ambiguous .He is now hinting that it may stay as it is .

When is this make believe PM going to make a definite decision  on anything. ?  Other than playing at PM and having overseas holidays ?

The country is rapidly moving into chaos .The highest unemployment in a decade , teachers up in arms , and the health service being quietly privatized , Then we have the welfare system being covertly taken over by "Charitable Organizations '" (for that read Tory Blue Rinses and religious do gooders" . It time for us all to start to expose this shaby well to the right anti - worker government

John (do nothing) Key lol spot on John. But we all know the right wing torries love to have high unemployment to keep wages low and to freeze pay rises, maybe not freeze just a 25cents increase for minimum wage.
If every one in this country was politically aware national would never get in.

Ok how do you pay for wage increases then huh during a recession when business owners are trying to hang onto staff?

Where does the money come from?

If your sales are down 50% and a business is treading water and the bloody hopeless unions want to slap buiness with extra cost for the people who put toothpaste caps on toohpaste.. who pays for it? 1

Your argument is flawed.

I didi not get a pay rise last year but I am nt complaning cause I have still have a job. Better to take no rise but still have an income.

Interesting Aron that you should point out that the Tories want unemployment. Of course they do . Key has publicly stated that he wants to keep wages low.The most effective way is to keep unemployment high. ie".The continuous bleeting from the Nats business friends that a wage rise would cause more unemployment. In" the 1980s the National candidates for the Waikato all declared that NZ needs at least 7% unemployment for financial survival.

How do you pay for wage increases ??
One way is to rebalance the tax take to benafit both the worker and the business owner, I.E. a lower business tax and make a higher minamum wage and with this comes the benifit of more cash in peoples pockets and the business owner not having to shell out any more money then he or she does now, but picks up more sales as people tend to spend when they have a little more.
Of course a tory like your self Matt would probably see this as an opportunity to increase GST ??? but infact its an opportunity to lower GST and create some real wealth for kiwis.

Well Matt your party has never done anything to help me.
Are you paid a salary or an amount per blog post to be on here trying to discourage Labour PArty supporters from using this forum?
