hmm, yes most young Maori that have a political bent have joined MParty but I think this time in opposition is when we can sort out how to recruit and retain our iwi Maori. Maori P spends a lot of time working in schools and around waka ama etc recr…

Hi Tracy - I'm back to my old job tomorrow ... 20 hours in the newly opened Mid-Central Labour office.... Yahoo .... can't wait to get back into the world of politics!
Hi Tracy ... remember me? I joined up Grassroots Labour very early in the piece but keep forgetting to come back on and keep up to date. I just started work at UCOL this week ... quite different to being in an electorate office. Hope life is treating you well. Keep on with the good work :)
Awesome- just let me know if there's any info from down here that you need and I'll send it through- there's more out West than on my side but there's a few contacts worth trying to connect with at some stage.
My thoughts are along the lines of either toughening up on alcohol availability, and or easing back on punishment for cannabis offences.
It is ridiculous to honour alcohol manufacturers and punish drug dealers. I don't know the solution but suspect the statistics are manipulated by vested interests.
A mature society should be able to cope with drugs.. caffiene,, tobacco.. alcohol.. amphetamine.. opiates.. uppers ... downers without jailing so many people.
Hi Tracy, I am heading off to the UK tomorrow. Have been in Chch for the last couple of months. Hope all is well up north and you're keeping those boys in line!
I agree. My main point here I think is that there is a need for principals to reflect on their understanding of the term 'leader.' They are professional leaders now which definitely implies that they lead the staff professionally (with support) and are involved as well in any P.D. Not now just day to day managers. It's all to do with the teaching and learning and knowing what is happening in classrooms, not just at appraisal times.
Me? Well I'm no longer in Otaki I'm studying an LLB\BA (majoring in laws, political science, international relations) at Victoria Uni in Wellington. I'm getting right into the centre of things.
